I can be silent no more! The Hollow Sun folder on my sample drive is wearing out because i go to it more and more. The inventiveness of the Laboratory Machines are staggering and a true friend to creativity.
At Hollow Sun, you clearly understand that it is LIMITATIONS, not infinite versatility, that the artist sometimes needs to focus the muse. The Lab Machines are diabolical, clever, and strangely wonderful and unpredictable - they help me to "Re-experience innocence" at the keyboard, and have kick started dozens of fruitful ideas.
The detail and integrity of these instruments have cemented my relationship with Kontakt, and make me grateful to be a synth player in 2012.

I'm totally loving the work that you do and the instruments you create. They are without doubt the most inspiring tools I've encountered in my relatively recent exposure to the vast world of 'music technology'.
I really look forward to the emails / announcements from you. What is additionally and equally impressive is the accessibilty in terms of cost of your releases. It's always without fail a no brainer when it comes to purchasing them. More than anything it shows your passion for your work and also enthusiasm for wanting to share your expertise with as many people as possible for a nominal charge. It's truly remarkable and commendable.
Probably the highest compliment I can give is that sitting here, having coffee and reading emails, I feel an immediate urge to get home and make music / sounds.

Without any doubt whatsoever, your MLM series is by far the most interesting Kontakt library out there and should be winning awards for the brilliant GUIs - they are truly spectacular and way beyond what anyone else is doing.
I see you have some copy cat competition now but they don't compare IMO. Everything just comes together in the MLMs to create very unique instruments that sound and look amazing.
I can't wait to see what you come up with next.

I bought the MLM Suite about a month ago. At first, I was very impressed with the sounds, the great GUIs, the functionality, the sheer weirdness of them - they're so very different from any other Kontakt library out there or any other Kontakt library I have. In fact, I don't really class them as sound library for a sampler but weird and wonderful synths in their own right. And they sound like synths not samples and very weird synths at that.
But what I have found is how subtle these things are when you start delving deeper with the sounds and when you get past the obvious stuff there's so much more there.
I have always loved the really old synth equipment, all the things the Radiophonics Workshop were doing with primitive gear, the VCS3 and all that abstract stuff but there's no way I could get my hands on any of it or afford it but the MLM Suite has enabled me to unleash my wildest imaginations and for that I thank you.
Please feel free to publish this on your site. I am a huge fan of the MLMs and want to recommened them to everyone. I am not a pro or a reviewer and just dabble in this area for my own enjoyment in my spare time but I feel the MLMs give me a connection with those old pioneers like Delia Derbyshire.
So thank you Stephen and Mario
for making these little gems.
The funny thing is that I only ended up at Hollow Sun because of the Vox Continental and then I discovered the MLM Suite. I am so glad I did.

They're very playable, and actually closing the gap between "a synth" and "a sample library", as they are lacking the repetitiousness - or "using a same polaroid all over again" feeling, which is usually the flaw of most libraries. The sound is vibrating, almost as if it was an analogue thing without phase sync. Well done! Me likey. Petri Alanko - BAFTA award winning composer of Alan Wake game (amongst others)
I bought the MLM Suite and have to say it's amazing value for money.

I just saw your announcement of Sangria La on Facebook at the Matrixsynth lounge. I've not heard of Hollow Sun before and can't believe what I am seeing and hearing. These are amazing looking and sounding products and I have just ordered all of them. They came through really quickly and I can't wait to play with them they sound amazing.
Jake
I just love you hollow sun. I've bought all the music lab machines now and they are all stunning and so different. And you've been great to chat with on email I feel like your a friend.
Keep up the amazing work.
Charlie
You're totally on the ball with the primitive old otherworldly valve gear sounding better than modern synths Beano - Sun Machine
What else you have in the pipeline? I have to say...the MLM library has been nothing short of brilliant. I've purchased each one and they've been super inspiring. Christopher Moll
The Postmarks
I really enjoy all your music machines, they're very good value for money for the quality music making instruments that they are, so I always buy them as soon as I see a new one. Jered Sorkin - via email
You've done it again! Techtron is simply superb. I love this series and thank you for making such great products at affordable prices for musicians who don't have an endless budget. All your MLMs are so innovative and unique and inspiring and they all look so incredible. Hollow Sun is raising the bar on excellence. Thank you again and good luck with all your products.

I didn't think you guys could top yourselves after Oscillosine and Broken but you have. Each one just gets better and better.
I have them all and not only do I think they sound great but they are IMO the most innovative products and increible looking GUIs on the market today. They actually make me want to experiment and do something new rather than just mess with presets and the results are always interesting and sound so different to anything else out there. It's hard to believe that I am actually using 'a sampler' because they behave like real retro synths.
I am also amazed how 'organic' they sound - not static and lifeless like so many sample libraries but living and breathing and not at all 'digital'. I don't know how you do it especially for the price and especially with the amazing graphics! I think your mad because you could charge a lot more for these and I'd still buy them.
So this is just to say 'thank you' to all of the people at 'HS Towers' (LOL) and I can't wait to see what you come up with next. It's like watching a TV series and you can't wait for the next episode!

Oscillosine and now Broken should win some kind of artistic skin awards.
For Broken, the mixed knobs, the label maker labels, the mixed up screws, the corroded jacks, the dirt... It is beautiful!
I haven't tried Broken yet, but if it's anything like Oscillosine I'm going to be happy.
Raintalk - KVR Love Broken but the two together is lo-fi bliss.
Love the mains hum effect on Broken that you activate with a switch if you want the mains hum in the signal.
These are a must have everybody, well cool. They are the quirkiest sounding instruments that will add a touch of 'what the hell is making that sound' to your tracks.
Regardless of what type of music you make these instruments will add something. And no! I don't work for Hollow sun.
I am going to have the complete set of these instruments. spfxsynths - KVR
In preliminary exploration of these instruments, I am blown away. You
should definitely charge more. It is a great surprise to find inspiring
and usable presets. These are wonderful. Jeff Dobisch - via email
I've got to say that these new libraries are indeed great-sounding, but more than that, the interface(s) definitely encourage experimentation, and thus, feel like individual instruments -- not "just" Kontakt libraries. At the price, they're an absolute steal! Thank you so much for your work on these, and definitely keep it up! Can't wait to see what else you guys end up with in the pipeline!
TimPanella - KVR
Organa is great and has a special character but Oscillosine is really a star. There is a lot that can be gotten out of Oscillosine. Anything from sound effects to ethereal or spooky instruments. And it is a nice extra that both instruments are visually beautiful as well (nice graphics). Bravo ... really well done on the quality side and the commercial side!
Fred Demillio - Little Red King
The sound quality is what you'd expect - coming from Hollow Sun - the programming is top notch, the interface and controls invite you to experiment and tweak the sounds. And all that for only 12$ !!!
Folks, this seriously is great value. Better grab it before Stephen comes to his senses and charges a higher, more appropriate price. And no, I'm not affiliated in any way, just a happy customer, who had a fun afternoon today fiddling around with 2 awesome Kontakt libraries courtesy of Hollow Sun.
Looking forward to the rest of the Music Laboratory Machines series.
ma9sharp11 - KVR
TOTALLY in love with these new 'Music Laboratory Machines'. thanks so much for putting the work into them Colin J Morris
What great instruments! A real no-brainer for the audiophile scientist in you. Welldone - KVR
These new products are simply stunning Steve especially for the price which is crazy. I hope it's very successful for you.
Everyone will love Oscillosine but Organa is a real find. Very intersting.
Keep up the good work mate. Hollow Sun is always my first choice for sounds that are different to what everyone else is doing.
